Pamela Colston Joy, Founder and CEO, Arbor Bay School and Associated Learning & Language Specialists

Pamela Colston Joy specializes in early identification, treatment strategies and the creation of comprehensive developmental programs for children and adults with language/learning deficits and students on the autistic spectrum. She believes in a collaborative approach where speech/language therapy, occupational therapy and behavioral therapy are integrated as needed. Pam founded the multi-disciplinary clinic Associated Learning & Language Specialists (ALLS), in 1980 and Arbor Bay School (ABS) a K-8 school for children with learning differences, in 2003.

Pam has participated in and taught many advanced-level language, social, and educational courses, and created specific core curriculum and strategies for different learning styles. She also has advanced coursework and training in specialized curriculum and behavior programs, current brain research and social/pragmatic skills.

Pam earned an MA in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her CCC. She is licensed by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance and certified by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. She is a frequent speaker on developmental issues at preschools, special education organizations, school districts, hospitals and public agencies.

Prior to starting her own clinic, she worked at the Children's Health Council, Community Association for Rehabilitation, and Sequoia Hospital.
